    1. Itinerary Activities

      Activities

      Route – Jiménez-Sirena-Jiménez

      MEETING POINT: Monar Bakery
      MEETING TIME: 05:00 am

      The guide will meet you at the bakery, so you can grab some something to eat for breakfast and something to drink, you’ll have 15 minutes to eat and drink what you bought or eat it on the boat. At 5:15am, you will walk towards the public pier to take the boat together to Sirena at 5:30am. Usually the boat ride takes an hour and 20 minutes and arrive at around 7:20am. Hopefully, during the boat ride, you’ll get to see dolphins or even whales (depending on the season).

      The boat will drop you off at the beach, and you will have to walk 800 meters to get to Sirena station there you can leave the extra luggage and prepare to start hiking, make sure to keep valuables on your person like phones, cameras and wallets.

      During the day you will explore all the interesting trails, nearby rivers and also walk on the beach where you can find many animals and plants like the tapir or the elusive puma. At night, before 06:00 pm, you will need to be back at the station to rest, take a shower, have dinner and then go to sleep.

      On the second day, you’ll wake up early at 4:30am or a time that you agree with your guide, to explore other interesting and different internal routes in the areas mostly visited by animals. And return at 7:00am for breakfast, then once again return to the trails to keep searching for wildlife, and return at 11:30am for lunch, and before 6:00pm for dinner.

      On the 3rd day, you will explore any remaining trails you haven’t seen, back track to look for certain animals, or you can just relax on the beach; you’ll have breakfast at 6:00am, then around 11:30am you will return to the station to get your luggage, walk to the beach to take the boat at 12:30pm to go back to Puerto Jiménez arriving at around 2:00pm.
