    1. Itinerary Activities

      Activities

      Route – Jiménez-Sirena-Jiménez

      MEETING POINT: Monar Bakery
      MEETING TIME: 05:00 am

      You will be meeting with your guide at Bakery Monar at 5:00am, it is important that you be on time because your guide will take you to the indicated boat. While at the bakery, you will have 15 minutes to buy something to eat for breakfast. The boat departs at 5:30pm and takes about an hour and 20 minutes depending on if you see whales or dolphins, depending on the season.

      Once you arrive at Sirena beach you’ll have to walk 800 meters to get to the Station, there you will stow your luggage and start walking the trails, do not leave anything of value in your bags like your wallets, phones or cameras and always bring water with you at all times.

      You’ll return from the trails at 11:30am for lunch and take a 1-2 hour break. After the break you will walk again threw other trails and return before 6:00pm to the station for dinner, take a shower and got to sleep.

      The second day you will be waking up at 4:30am to start walking at 5:00am in search of animals but also to listen to the rainforest’s bizarre sounds, you will return for breakfast at 7:00am and walk again at 8:00am. You’ll need to return to the station to get your luggage, use the restroom and refill your water bottles, once done you will head back to the beach to catch the return boat to Puerto Jimenez the boat leaves at 12:30pm.

      Sirena is the best place in all of Costa Rica to see animals in their natural habitat, from the awing tapir to the elusive puma, but to enjoy nature free of human intervention.
