You will be meeting your guide at Bakery Monar 5:00am there you’ll have 15 minutes to get some breakfast and something to drink, I would also bring snacks for the return hike.
Your guide will take you to the indicated boat, the boat ride takes about an hour and 20 minutes, once at Sirena beach you will walk 800 meters to get to the Sirena station, you will leave your luggage but make sure to keep your valuable on your person like wallets, phones, or cameras.
Afterwards you’ll start walking on the trails, and return at 11:30 for lunch and take a 2 hour break. After the rest period you’ll continue walking on the trails again and return to the station before 6:00pm to have dinner, take a shower, and go to sleep.
The second day, you will wake at 4:30am and get your breakfast and bags, at 5:00am you’ll head to Carate. It would be wise to ask your guide if you should bring your breakfast or just eat it at the station.
The path to Carate is 20km which will take about 7-9 hours on a flat trail parallel to the beach. The pace of the hike will depend on the tides since you have to cross beaches and rivers.
When you arrive at Leona station you can refill your water bottles use the bathroom, once down you’ll head to Carate where a vehicle transport will pick you up and take you to Puerto Jimenez, the ride takes about 2 hours to arrive at 2:15pm.
