Corcovado National Park is one of the largest in Costa RIca, it houses the best population of scarlet macaws, 5 species of cats, 2 species of sloths, 4 species of monkeys, both species of Peccaries, as well as several endemic species of birds, and plants. It was created in 1975 and since then hunting was banned, for that reason the animals are not afraid and let tourists get closer without having to run away. The park has 6 ranger stations of which 4 are open to tourists.

The meeting point is Agujitas Beach in Drake Bay at 6 am, there you will meet the guide who will indicate which boat to take, the boat tour takes one hour, once at Sirena beach you walk 800 meters to get to the Station, things are left in a safe place and you start walking, you return at 11:30 for lunch and take a two-hour break. After the siesta you walk again until sunset.
The next day you get up very early at 4:30 am to start walking at 5 am in search of animals but also to listen to the awakening of the forest, you return to breakfast at 7 am and walk again at 8, you return at 11:30 to use the bathroom, take the luggage and at 12 you start walking back to the beach to take the boat back to Drake. Sirena is the best place in all Costa RIca to see animals in their natural habitat and without fear of humans.
