      MEETING POINT: Agujitas Beach
      MEETING TIME: 05:50

The guide will meet at the beach to take take the boat together to Sirena at 6:00am and the trip is normally about an hour and 20 minutes so you will arrive at around 7:20 in the morning. Hopefully, you’ll be able to see whales or dolphins (depending on the season).

The boat leaves you 800 meters away from the Sirena station, at the station you can leave the luggage and prepare to start hiking.

During the day you will explore all sorts of beautiful trails, nearby rivers and also walk on the beach where you can find different types of animals. At night, before 06:00 pm, you will need to be back at the station to rest, have dinner, and then go to sleep.

Lunch is at 12:00pm, dinner is at 6:00pm and breakfast is at 5:00am, it is recommended to start heading back to the station 30 minutes before the time.

On the second day, you’ll wake up early to explore other interesting and different internal routes in the areas most visited by animals.

The third day is your hike out of the park, departure is 5:00am. You will hike out in a totally different scenery than the previous days, exiting the park through the La Leona trail and ending up at Carate. Before leaving, it is good to ask the guide if you should eat or take your breakfast with you.

This hike is about 20Km that takes place in the middle of secondary forest and beach. Due to tides, weather and the wildlife we encounter, the hike takes about 7-9 hours from the time we leave Sirena. You will be crossing rivers and walking in wet conditions, so proper footwear is important.

Once in Carate, you will take a vehicle transport at around 2:00pm, which will bring you to Puerto Jimenez. The trip typically takes about 2 hours.
