    Important: The included luggage transfer is for 1 backpack per person for a maximum weight of 25 kilos each, if you need to transfer suitcase-type luggage or bigger you must pay an additional cost of $25 for each bag.

    1. Itinerary Activities

      Route-Drake-Sirena-Carate

      MEETING POINT: Agujitas Beach
      MEETING TIME: 05:50

      The guide will meet you to take the boat together from the Agujitas beach to Sirena at 6:00am and the trip is normally about an hour and 20 minutes so you will arrive at around 7:20am. Hopefully, you might see whales or dolphins (depending on the season).

      The boat leaves you 800 meters away from Sirena station, where you can leave the extra luggage and prepare to start hiking.

      During the day you will explore interesting trails, nearby rivers and also walk on the beach where you can find many different types of animals and plants. At night, before 06:00 pm, you will need to be back at the station to rest, take a shower have dinner, and then go to sleep.

      On the second day, is your hike out of the park at 5:00am, it would is advised that you ask your tour guide if you show take your food or eat at the station because it is along trail. You will hike out in a totally different scenery than the previous day, exiting the park through the La Leona trail and ending up at Carate.

      This hike is about 20Km in the middle of secondary forest and beach. Due to tides, weather, and the abundance of wildlife we encounter, the entire hike takes about 7-9 hours from the time we leave Sirena. You will be crossing rivers and walking in wet conditions, so proper footwear is important.

      Once in Carate, you will have a chance to us the restroom or refill your water bottle , once done you will take a vehicle transport at around 2:00pm which will bring you to Puerto Jimenez. The trip typically takes about 2 hours.
