Corcovado
Corcovado #1
2 days 1 night : Puerto Jimenez - Sirena - Puerto Jimenez.
The guide will meet you at the bakery so you can grab some snacks for the hike and have 15 minutes to have a coffee. At 05:15 you will walk to the public dock so you can take the boat to Sirena together at 05:30. The trip usually takes 1.2 hours, so you will arrive around 07:20 in the morning. If you are lucky, you may see dolphins or even whales (depending on the season).
The boat will drop you off 700 meters from the Sirena ranger station, so you will walk there to leave your extra luggage and get ready to start walking.
In the evening, before 06:00 pm, you should return to the station to rest, have dinner and then go to bed.
On the last day, you will explore other interesting and different trails or just relax on the beach; then, around 11:30 am, you will return to the station for lunch and then walk to the beach to take the boat at 12:30 pm to go to Puerto Jimenez.
This trip takes approximately 1.5 hours. You will arrive in Puerto Jimenez around 2:15 pm.

At 05:15 you will walk to the public dock so that you can take the boat to Sirena together at 05:30. The trip usually takes 1.2 hours, so you will arrive around 07:20 in the morning. If you are lucky, you may see dolphins or even whales (depending on the season).

The second day is your hike outside the park. You will hike in a totally different landscape from the previous day, leaving the park on the La Leona trail and ending in Carate.
This hike is about 20 km in the middle of secondary forest and beach. Due to the tides, weather and abundance of wildlife we encounter, the entire hike takes about 7-9 hours from the time you leave Sirena. You will cross rivers and walk in wet conditions, so it is important to wear appropriate footwear.
Once in Carate, you will take a shuttle service around 02:00 pm. that will take you to Puerto Jimenez. The trip usually takes about 1.5 hours.
